About a year ago I had a surgery to remove some medical equipment that malfunctioned inside my body and found myself dealing with a full-blown allergic reaction. Between skin rashes to water retention I was a mess. The bigger problem was that it wasn’t letting my surgical incision to close in the slightest. Even when it would, it opened back up and looked nasty.
I went back to my surgeon of course and she was almost more baffled then I was. That was not a comforting feeling in the slightest.
So I started doing some research.
This stuff saved my life.
Maybe not in the reach into my body and restart my heart type of life saving of course.
However, 7 months after surgery I was still opening and the only thing that I can do is fight it. So I read that this is what they learn on long and short-term burns as well as for long and short-term skin openings. There are so many other things that it works for however that it continues to blow my mind. Examples are eczema, psoriasis, athletes foot, fungus, dermatitis, poison oak, poison ivy, sunburns, itchy skin and so much more.
What was one of the most important factors to me honestly came down to one sentence that I read in the review. Working in the medical field as long as I have, I realize that skin infections can start from a cut on your leg, and if not controlled has the ability to become life threatening. So simple, yet amazingly more complex than anyone can fully understand. The sentence I read was from a man identifying himself as a doctor, stating that the reason that the gauze they use on burn victims has the same main ingredients as this gel, and that it has the best resistance to skin infections like M.R.S.A. then anything out there.” Now of course, this man could shine shoe’s outside of his local salvation army, and we would never know. However, again I did my research. The doctors and nurses that I work with agreed, as did most the reviews I found from Amazon, Google and Yahoo.
I personally chose the gel because I didn’t have to worry about a bandage on top of it, or having to let any cream sit and fester. It does not leave you feeling sticky in any way, no residue altogether.
Not only did I fight off any skin infections with a gaping incision that previously had continued to open, but I also healed completely within a fifteen day time period. I have never opened since.
I highly recommend this gel. I have since used this on a burn my friend got from the lawn mower, a head laceration my young son got from taking a tumble on concrete playing basketball, my mother in laws road rash from an unfortunate tumble as well as all over cuts I have needed that didn’t heal right away.
